My dog is nervous around other dogs. Where can we go?
I can help you select a location from some of my favorites that suit the tone of the finished products you want as well as your pup's needs. We can talk about this more during our planning session.
What if my dog isn't great at sitting still?
Not to worry, I photograph dogs of all sizes, energy levels, temperaments, and training levels! With your help as pet parent, I will be able to create images you'll love. It's that simple and my promise to you.
What if my dog needs to be leashed during the session?
Want to know a secret? Okay, so it's not really a secret, but 85% of the dogs in my portfolio were wearing leashes during their session. Due to leash laws, we have to plan on leashes. After a little bit of Photoshop - voila! It looks as if the pup was not wearing a leash! However, we can't photoshop halters or head collars, so we would need to just use a leash.
I also have a long line in case we need it, so that we can keep your dog safely on leash for any shots we are looking to capture

Do you work with an assistant?
My photography 'pack' includes your dog's favorite person - you! Who better than the pet parent's themselves to be a part of their pet's very own session? Not only will we laugh a lot and have a good time together, but it makes the sessions more memorable, too!
Can I bring extra dogs and humans to the session?
I'm sure your dog has an entourage all of their own, but for your pet's session, we try to keep it simple. Please leave extra pets and humans at home to ensure a calm setting without additional distractions. The only exception is if you have multiple pups in your pack and need more hands to handle all the cuteness.
Do I have to be in the photos?
Our sessions are pup-focused meaning that people photos are entirely optional. We obviously love celebrating the bond between a pet and their parents, so we always suggest hopping in for at least a few photos, but it's up to you! You'd be amazed at the power of posing, lighting, angles, and framing to flatters pups and their people. I also have lots of posing ideas and tricks where you can be included in the image without having to be fully on camera if you don't want! Or if you want a session just solely for your pup--that's fine, too!
What if it's raining?
I'll be in communication with you via text or email as we get closer to your session. We will plan to reschedule depending on the weather so that you and your pup look your best.
