During my first photography class (circa 2015), my parents and two rescue dogs were my main subjects to capture. They were all good sports. I had just adopted Rosie, a beautiful black cocker spaniel. In the photo above, my challenge to get them both in a "sit-stay" was a big success. There was no editing of leashes in this photo for my class!

I had no idea how special this photo would become as my Rosie died two years later from cancer. My gray schnauzer died a year after that. A dear friend had this photo printed on canvas for me, and it hangs near my kitchen. I get to see their smiling faces multiple times a day. And it brings me so much joy!

But here's the deal... I had tons of photos of my dogs on my phone. I just didn't do anything with them! Can you relate?

That's why investing in physical, tangible art from your photo sessions will go beyond the joy of downloads on your phone to post on social media. Having beautiful, timeless prints to remember the light in their eyes, the wet nose, and the sweet smile that brighten the room.
