“But my dog won’t sit still for photos.”

That’s okay. All I need is 1/500th of a second or 0.002 seconds! That’s the shutter speed on the camera lens and sometimes it’s even faster than that.

I don’t expect any dog to have perfect behavior or polished training. Your dog’s energy and personality is part of what makes him unique, and that’s what I want to capture for you. The way he tilts his head, wags his tail, smiles with his tongue out…those are the moments I want you to be able to see and remember.

The reason that my sessions tend to be an hour is that I want to balance the time he spends in front of the camera with time to be a dog! He needs time to get comfortable with me, the camera, the surroundings as well as time to sniff and explore the environment. By allowing your dog to be himself, we can capture artwork that is an authentic reflection of your dog’s personality.

Our dogs move quickly from those puppy stages of boundless energy to those companionable senior years. When you choose to capture those moments as artwork, you’re preserving the bond you share and honoring their love and life with you.
